October 19th 2006 @ 8:19 pm Film Festival

October is a good month for filmmakers. The Resfest commencement is tomorrow at the Chicago Museum for Contemporary Art and debuts the following day in Paris, at the Pompidou Centre. Resfest10 is an international film festival that focuses on the digital filmmaking, and this year celebrates its 10th anniversary. It will continue to tour around the globe to some 45 different cities.

“In this brave new linked-up world, RESFEST’s live, physical, global events take on new importance. In at time when we have unprecedented access to concepts and content from all over the globe, and the world feels smaller than ever before, there’s still nothing better than meeting up with peers to exchange new ideas. This year’s RESFEST anniversary tour celebrates the increasing interconnectedness of the global creative community, and brings its members together to explore the future together.”

There will be a retrospective on Radiohead and the part their music more specifically their music videos have had for new filmmakers. Being the festival’s tenth anniversary there is a best of the best program that will feature work from past years of the festival. One film, “The Tale Of How” by The Blackheart Gang was featured on glitterfish.com and has been getting attention from online video connoisseurs.
